Why Canine Massage?
Massage is defined as systematically applied touch for the purpose of relaxation, stress reduction, and improved well-being, and can applied to animals as well as people. Many pet owners are developing a heightened awareness of the role of good nutrition, exercise and preventative health care in maintaining and improving the health, well-being, and longevity of the animals they love. Massage, given by a trained professional, as well as by the owners themselves, can also be a vital part of caring for your animal companions. Why Wholistic Massage? We believe that animals, like humans, are composed of body, mind and spirit, and when all levels are in balance, animals have optimal health and well-being. And when things are out of balance, this contributes to disease and disharmony in the body. Massage, like nutrition, homeopathy, acupuncture, and other healing modalities, works with all three levels and can play a vital role in maintaining balance of mind, body and spirit.*

| Winter tip: Massage is really good for dogs during the cold and winter season to improve circulation, flexibility and range of motion, thereby preventing or decreasing limping and restricted movement caused by muscles that contract and stiffen up in the cold. Massage is also especially helpful during this season for dogs with arthritis and joint problems.
